Responsibilities
- Build the next-generation CI/CD platform and guide development of CI/CD pipelines.
- Develop and maintain development-to-production configuration templates using automation tools.
- Contribute to Kubernetes cluster deployment systems for on-premises and public cloud providers.
- Work with internal customers to determine needs and translate them into requirements and designs.
- Make mitigation decisions during critical downtime situations when escalation is impractical.
- Create knowledge-sharing presentations and documentation for development and operations teams.
- Set up and maintain containerized environments for unit, manual, and automated testing.
- Document on-premises and cloud deployments with playbooks and cloud architecture diagrams.
- Build automated deployments using configuration-management technology.
- Automate deployment of new modules, upgrades, and fixes in production-like environments.
- Own knowledge transfer for development, QA, professional services, and operations teams.
- Monitor and track system and application health and performance metrics.
- Improve operational processes and utilization of underlying cloud resources.
- Mentor team members, oversee day-to-day team work, and serve as a technical expert.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, a B.E./B.Tech., or equivalent experience.
- At least 6 years of experience in system design, tools development, and leading technical DevOps implementations.
- Strong experience implementing infrastructure automation with Ansible.
- Strong experience with AWS, Azure, and VMware.
- Strong Linux skills, including Red Hat or CentOS environments.
- Experience with Terraform or CDK, Python, Shell, and Groovy.
- Experience building and managing CI/CD environments using Jenkins, GitHub Actions, CodePipeline, SonarQube, Nexus, and Atlassian tools.
- Experience maintaining, backing up, and restoring servers such as Jenkins and Nexus.
- Expertise with AWS and Azure serverless services, including API Gateway, Lambda, ECS, and EKS/AKS containers.
- Hands-on experience with microservices CI/CD and deployment using Rancher or Helm.
- Ability to lead initiatives, work with stakeholders, communicate effectively, and collaborate with Agile teams.
- Knowledge of IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS models and modern cloud terminology.
- AWS or Azure certification is preferred.
