Base Salary

$175k - $210k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and operate managed logs services, including ingestion endpoints, query APIs, retention and access controls, and customer onboarding workflows.
  • Convert manual or internally supported workflows into low-touch self-service APIs, defaults, and guardrails.
  • Design highly scalable, durable, reliable, and easy-to-use services with attention to multi-tenancy, quotas, limits, cost visibility, and heavy customer loads.
  • Work with product, cloud support, and site reliability teams to turn customer feedback into roadmap items and shipped improvements.
  • Participate in a customer-facing on-call rotation and improve alerting, runbooks, and operational automation.
  • Implement observability features that support low-touch adoption and integration with customers’ AI workloads.
  • Own product surfaces end to end and mentor earlier-career engineers.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of software development experience.
  • Experience designing and scaling fault-tolerant distributed systems and managed cloud services.
  • Familiarity with observability data and technologies such as log aggregation, time-series databases, or distributed tracing; Loki, VictoriaMetrics, Prometheus, and OpenTelemetry are listed as examples.
  • Experience owning a customer-facing service or product surface end to end, including API design, rollout, and iteration based on customer feedback.
  • Strong fundamentals in microservices and infrastructure technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, and CI/CD systems.
  • Programming experience with modern compiled languages such as Go, Rust, Java, or C++.
  • Ability to collaborate cross-functionally, communicate technical decisions clearly, mentor earlier-career engineers, and contribute to an inclusive engineering culture.
