Responsibilities
- Implement well-architected Java and Spring Boot microservices and APIs, delivering production-ready features and code.
- Troubleshoot, debug, upgrade, and maintain existing systems.
- Apply security and privacy principles to application development.
- Use AI-assisted coding practices, including prompting, code suggestions, and test generation, with verification for quality and security.
- Tune API performance to target response times below one second.
- Contribute to architecture, technical strategy, data models, reliability, observability, and scalability decisions.
- Collaborate with technical leads and product partners on requirements, acceptance criteria, and sprint goals.
- Improve developer productivity through automation, tooling, and CI/CD improvements.
- Provide technical guidance, conduct code reviews, assist with debugging, and contribute directly to project deliverables.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 6+ years of hands-on experience building large-scale, complex software programs involving cross-functional teams.
- Proficiency in Java, Spring, Spring Boot, SQL, and PL/SQL.
- Strong interest in enterprise data and working knowledge of RDBMS, including Oracle or an equivalent system.
- Knowledge of microservices architecture and scalable, highly resilient systems.
- Strong full-stack development experience with current technologies.
- Familiarity with Maven, JIRA, Git, unit testing, and CI/CD practices.
- Experience with prompt engineering for code and tests, including verification steps and avoiding unreviewed generated code.
- Experience in financial services is preferred.
