Responsibilities
- Define and drive long-term technical strategy, architecture, and standards for Payments and Community Partner experiences.
- Architect, build, and launch reliable, performant, and scalable production systems and features.
- Lead multi-team technical initiatives and align engineering efforts with business outcomes and product priorities.
- Evaluate existing and emerging technologies and promote sustainable innovation.
- Collaborate with Product, Design, Operations, senior leaders, and other cross-functional partners.
- Improve engineering quality through design reviews, code reviews, mentorship, and hands-on implementation.
- Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior engineers through design reviews, code walkthroughs, and knowledge-sharing sessions.
- Explore decision support, knowledge management, and workflow orchestration systems that leverage AI advancements.
Requirements
- 15+ years of experience in a hands-on software engineering role.
- Bachelor’s and/or Master’s degree, preferably in Computer Science, or equivalent experience.
- Experience building, leading, and architecting production systems or features with broad impact.
- Hands-on experience leading project teams, setting technical direction and strategy, prototyping ideas, and working cross-functionally.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with technical and non-technical partners.
- Experience driving initiatives across teams, departments, and leadership.
- Experience defining product or technical strategy and driving alignment with cross-functional leaders and stakeholders.
- Ability and interest in mentoring engineers and fostering a collaborative, inclusive learning environment.
