Responsibilities
- Translate business and functional requirements into documented technical specifications or user stories.
- Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain backend functionality and components.
- Develop and maintain RESTful APIs, microservices, and third-party application integrations.
- Optimize backend systems, databases, data models, data structures, and algorithms for performance and efficiency.
- Troubleshoot backend system issues and implement data protection and authentication mechanisms.
- Write maintainable code, document technical processes, conduct peer reviews, and support continuous improvement.
- Stay current with backend technologies and continuously develop technical skills.
Requirements
- Knowledge of developing cloud-based applications.
- Experience with backend technologies and/or backend frameworks.
- Proficiency in programming and scripting languages used for backend development.
- Experience with RESTful APIs and related concepts.
- Proficiency in fundamental web technologies.
- Familiarity with designing, building, deploying, monitoring, and maintaining code in a multi-service architecture.
- Experience with CI/CD tools and deploying code to production.
- Understanding of cloud fundamentals.
