Responsibilities
- Design, develop, maintain, optimize, and refactor scalable backend services and APIs using Node.js and JavaScript.
- Build MongoDB data models, indexing strategies, query optimization, and data governance practices.
- Contribute to AWS cloud architecture, deployment, monitoring, logging, alerting, troubleshooting, and operational excellence.
- Design and integrate interfaces across business platforms and support scalable data flows.
- Contribute to large-scale data architecture involving caching, asynchronous processing, messaging, and observability.
- Participate in documentation, code reviews, testing practices, architecture evolution, and engineering standards.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or above in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- At least 3 years of backend software development experience with medium-to-large-scale services.
- Strong proficiency in Node.js and JavaScript.
- Solid experience with MongoDB, including data modeling, indexing, query optimization, and performance tuning.
- Experience with AWS cloud services and cloud deployment, monitoring, logging, alerting, and troubleshooting.
- Experience designing high-availability, high-concurrency, and distributed systems and resolving complex production issues.
- Strong API design and system integration experience.
- Professional working proficiency in English and effective communication with North American engineering teams.
- Preferred experience includes transaction-intensive business systems, large-scale data architectures, messaging, caching, task scheduling, event-driven architectures, observability, DevOps practices, CI/CD, containerization, automated deployment, and collaboration across time zones.
