Responsibilities
- Lead 24×7 follow-the-sun SRE operations, infrastructure alert response, incident management, on-call coverage, service restoration, escalation, and cross-region handoffs.
- Own customer experience and operational KPIs, including ticket aging, response times, backlog reduction, escalations, routing quality, go-live incidents, and RCA SLA compliance.
- Lead daily operational triage and major customer-critical incidents across Engineering, Cloud Platform, Customer Enablement, and Support.
- Identify recurring issues and drive permanent fixes, automation, preventive improvements, and improved ticket processes.
- Lead operational readiness for customer go-lives, feature enablement, and per-tenant infrastructure requirements, including risk, dependency, and rollback planning.
- Strengthen RCA governance, corrective and preventive action tracking, runbook maturity, AI-powered self-service, and operational automation.
- Mentor engineers and establish cross-functional ownership, escalation paths, and operating mechanisms.
Requirements
- Engineering degree in Computer Science or a related technical field.
- 8+ years of experience in SRE, cloud operations, platform engineering, or production engineering with technical leadership responsibilities.
- Experience supporting highly available SaaS or cloud platforms in a 24×7 production environment.
- Hands-on experience with AWS, Google Cloud Platform, or Microsoft Azure, plus strong Kubernetes and containerized production experience.
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code, preferably Terraform, Jenkins, GitOps, and automation practices.
- Strong Linux, networking, troubleshooting, distributed systems, observability, incident management, on-call, RCA, SLA, SLO, and production reliability experience.
- Ability to define and improve operational KPIs, lead complex customer-critical incidents, influence cross-functional teams, mentor engineers, and communicate effectively with technical teams and leadership.
- Preferred experience automating workflows with Python, APIs, or workflow automation; AI-assisted support, knowledge retrieval, and self-service solutions; and familiarity with SRE, ITIL, Incident Management, and Problem Management practices.
