Responsibilities
- Design enhancements, updates, and programming changes for systems software and related subsystems.
- Analyze designs and determine required coding, programming, testing, and integration activities.
- Write and execute testing plans, protocols, documentation, scripts, and tools.
- Identify and debug code and integration issues and develop solutions within application architectures.
- Lead project teams and coordinate with internal and outsourced development partners.
- Communicate software design status, project progress, and issue resolution with management and engineering partners.
- Represent the software systems engineering team on complex development projects and mentor less-experienced staff.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent.
- Typically 5+ years of experience.
- Expertise in multiple software systems design tools and languages.
- Knowledge of software systems running across multiple platform types.
- Knowledge of software systems testing methodology, including test plans, debugging, and testing scripts and tools.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, written, verbal, and English communication skills, including the ability to communicate architectures and negotiate options at management levels.
