Responsibilities
- Design and build scalable backend systems for high-volume health data.
- Lead technical initiatives to improve data reliability and system performance.
- Drive architecture decisions for integrations with third-party data sources.
- Collaborate with product, clinical, and data teams to translate healthcare needs into technical solutions.
- Enhance system resilience and data quality in clinically relevant workflows.
- Mentor engineers and improve engineering standards through reviews and practices.
- Contribute to roadmap planning and break down complex problems into actionable tasks.
Requirements
- 7+ years of professional software engineering experience with a backend focus.
- Strong experience with modern frameworks like Ruby on Rails or Python.
- Proficiency in relational databases such as PostgreSQL or MySQL.
- Experience designing and operating distributed systems with high reliability.
- Familiarity with data pipelines, event-driven architectures, or real-time processing.
- Strong emphasis on reliability, testing, and documentation.
- Excellent communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences.
