Responsibilities

  • Work with Account Executives to meet sales goals across large accounts in the UK and Ireland.
  • Manage all technical aspects of a sales cycle, from initial meetings to final presentations.
  • Conduct comprehensive discovery to understand clients' business needs.
  • Write and organize technical responses for RFPs and formal proposals.
  • Build and present proof-of-concept applications that solve specific customer problems.
  • Explain technical details and business benefits to executives and stakeholders.
  • Represent Appian at industry events, conferences, and seminars.
  • Build long-term relationships with technical staff at target accounts.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to secure resources needed to close deals.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field.
  • 5+ years of experience as a Solutions Consultant or Sales Engineer for enterprise software.
  • Hands-on technical background, such as previous experience as a Software Engineer or Technical Consultant.
  • Ability to partner with the sales team and take responsibility for account planning.
  • Deep functional knowledge to answer technical questions about production environments.
  • Experience working with large accounts using a value selling approach.
