Responsibilities
- Work with Account Executives to meet sales goals across large accounts in the UK and Ireland.
- Manage all technical aspects of a sales cycle, from initial meetings to final presentations.
- Conduct comprehensive discovery to understand clients' business needs.
- Write and organize technical responses for RFPs and formal proposals.
- Build and present proof-of-concept applications that solve specific customer problems.
- Explain technical details and business benefits to executives and stakeholders.
- Represent Appian at industry events, conferences, and seminars.
- Build long-term relationships with technical staff at target accounts.
- Collaborate with internal teams to secure resources needed to close deals.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field.
- 5+ years of experience as a Solutions Consultant or Sales Engineer for enterprise software.
- Hands-on technical background, such as previous experience as a Software Engineer or Technical Consultant.
- Ability to partner with the sales team and take responsibility for account planning.
- Deep functional knowledge to answer technical questions about production environments.
- Experience working with large accounts using a value selling approach.
