Responsibilities
- Partner with Account Executives to meet sales goals across large non-FSI and Public Sector accounts in the UK and Ireland.
- Manage all technical aspects of sales cycles from initial meetings through final presentations.
- Conduct comprehensive discovery to understand customer business needs.
- Write and organize technical responses for RFPs and formal proposals.
- Build and present proof-of-concept applications addressing specific customer problems.
- Explain technical details and business benefits to executives and other stakeholders.
- Handle technical objections and answer detailed product questions.
- Represent Appian at industry events, conferences, and seminars.
- Build long-term relationships with technical staff at target accounts.
- Collaborate with internal teams to obtain resources and information needed to close deals.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field.
- At least 5 years of experience as a Solutions Consultant or Sales Engineer for enterprise software.
- Hands-on technical background, such as prior Software Engineer or Technical Consultant experience.
- Ability to discuss APIs, application servers, databases, production environments, and detailed product functionality.
- Experience working with large accounts using a value-selling approach.
- Ability to partner with sales teams on account planning and revenue targets.
- Must live in the UK within commuting distance of the London office and be willing to attend weekly.
