Responsibilities
- Advise complex Utilities customers on adopting the Databricks Data Intelligence Platform.
- Develop and execute customer engagement strategies with Account Executives, Solutions Architects, and technology specialists.
- Coach account teams and peers on positioning, adoption strategies, and execution.
- Influence stakeholders across the cloud ecosystem and third-party applications.
- Architect, design, and support adoption of significant data analytics solutions on the Databricks Lakehouse platform.
- Build prototypes, demonstrations, tailored solutions, and complex proofs of concept.
- Create customer-facing collateral and lead workshops, seminars, and meet-ups.
- Guide customers as a trusted technical advisor and champion their long-term success.
Requirements
- Technical pre-sales experience involving complex customer interactions and sales lifecycles.
- Background in Data Engineering, Data Warehousing, Machine Learning, or AI.
- Experience coding in a core programming language such as Python or SQL, with willingness to learn Spark.
- Hands-on expertise with complex proofs of concept and public cloud platforms including AWS, Azure, and Google.
- Ability to provide technical solutions for specialized customer needs and influence decision-makers and C-level executives.
- Business-professional fluency in Japanese is required; business-level English proficiency is a plus.
- Databricks Certification is a preferred qualification.
- Willingness to travel up to 30–40% to Tokyo offices and customer sites.
