Responsibilities
- Own and evolve Kubernetes platforms, including upgrade standards, scaling, performance tuning, cost and capacity management, backups, and high-availability architecture.
- Lead automation and golden-path initiatives using Terraform modules, Helm/Kustomize frameworks, reusable CI/CD workflows, and self-service onboarding.
- Own GitOps architecture with Argo CD, including policy-as-code, image signing, SBOM integration, drift detection, and rollback strategies.
- Define secure and compliant CI/CD patterns, identity-based cloud access, approval workflows, immutable audit trails, container supply-chain security, and registry governance.
- Own platform observability through SLOs, alerting standards, dashboards, and cluster capacity hygiene.
- Partner with engineering, infrastructure, and security leaders on platform adoption, incident response, runbooks, and long-term planning.
- Mentor engineers, influence technical design decisions, and contribute to roadmap planning.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience in Platform, SRE, or DevOps roles with deep production Kubernetes experience.
- Proven ownership of complex systems and platform-level initiatives.
- Strong expertise in GitOps, CI/CD architecture, and Infrastructure as Code.
- Advanced troubleshooting skills across large-scale distributed systems.
- Strong communication skills and experience influencing across teams.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Preferred experience includes Rancher/RKE2 or AKS in production, policy-as-code, image signing, SBOMs, regulated CI/CD environments, and AI/ML-driven infrastructure automation.
- Preferred certifications include Terraform Associate, CKA, or CKAD.
