Responsibilities
- Gather performance requirements, workload models, and test inputs from product teams using templates, logs, and monitoring tools.
- Create performance test plans, scenarios, and scripts using JMeter, K6, Gatling, and LoadRunner.
- Define performance testing and regression testing guidelines and standards.
- Execute load, endurance, volume, scalability, spike, and stress testing for reliability, capacity, and scalability.
- Perform root cause analysis using profiling and performance monitoring tools to identify system and resource bottlenecks.
- Analyze thread dumps, heap dumps, kernel logs, network statistics, APM metrics, and application logs to troubleshoot CPU, memory, resource, latency, and platform health issues.
- Use frontend performance tools and metrics to help teams improve webpage performance scores.
- Collaborate with product and development teams on application performance tuning.
- Automate performance testing and integrate it into existing CI/CD pipelines.
- Communicate performance issues and recommendations to developers, testers, and other stakeholders.
Requirements
- Strong Java programming skills and experience with microservices, Spring Boot, cloud infrastructure, and performance testing methodologies.
- Experience with frontend application performance tools such as Lighthouse, WebPageTest, and PageSpeed Insights.
- Experience with performance testing tools including JMeter, LoadRunner, and Gatling.
- Knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and HTTP.
- Ability to interpret performance data and identify patterns, trends, and webpage load issues.
- Strong collaboration and communication skills.
