Base Salary
$218k - $333k/yr
Responsibilities
- Define and document the overall system architecture across services and components.
- Evaluate technical trade-offs and guide major design decisions.
- Partner with engineering leads to ensure architectural consistency as the platform grows.
- Identify scalability, performance, and reliability risks and design solutions to address them.
Requirements
- 10–15 years of experience.
- Significant experience architecting distributed systems at scale.
- Ability to communicate complex technical trade-offs to technical and non-technical audiences.
- Experience guiding architecture across multiple engineering teams.
- Understanding of agentic engineering workflows using Claude and modern AI coding tools, including agent loops, tool use, and context engineering.
- Preferred experience with networking, mesh, or edge-computing systems.
- Preferred experience with a platform or infrastructure product used by other engineering teams.
