Responsibilities
- Develop and evolve APIs, microservices, and workers using Java and Node.js.
- Participate in requirements discovery, refinement, technical definition, code reviews, and customer alignment activities.
- Implement solutions using DDD, hexagonal architecture, design patterns, object-oriented programming, and clean code practices.
- Create and maintain unit and integration tests and contribute to TDD and BDD practices.
- Work with relational and non-relational databases and messaging systems.
- Investigate problems, follow support requests, remove impediments, and improve delivery quality, stability, and predictability.
- Provide technical support to team members and collaborate with the Tech Lead on processes and documentation.
- Communicate progress, risks, and impediments directly with customers.
Requirements
- Solid professional backend development experience with both Java and Node.js, especially NestJS.
- Experience developing REST APIs, microservices, and workers.
- Strong knowledge of DDD, hexagonal architecture, design patterns, object-oriented programming, and clean code.
- Experience with unit and integration testing, TDD, and BDD.
- Experience with relational and non-relational databases, preferably Oracle and MongoDB.
- Experience with messaging systems such as IBM MQ or RabbitMQ.
- Knowledge of Kubernetes or OpenShift, Git, code review, merging, collaborative development, CI/CD, and Jenkins.
- Ability to independently analyze and resolve problems and communicate directly with customers.
- Preferred experience includes financial services, banking, fintech, payments, Pix, high-volume transactional systems, high-availability or critical systems, technical leadership, enterprise consulting, and customer-facing work.
- Advanced Java and Node.js skills, DevOps practices, and responsible use of artificial intelligence tools in software development are preferred.
