Base Salary
$165k - $224k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and build scalable backend services for streaming-data processing, payment calculations, and royalty distributions.
- Develop and maintain data pipelines that gather, enrich, and transform data from multiple internal systems.
- Build reporting platforms with data validations, data lakes, delivery systems, and audit mechanisms.
- Solve distributed-system and big-data processing challenges involving billions of play activities and financial transactions.
- Collaborate with technology, business, and operational stakeholders on music licensing and payment projects.
- Build new systems from the ground up and use Gen AI technologies to support future licensing demands.
- Maintain data quality and reliability for labels, publishers, and collection societies worldwide.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of non-internship professional software development experience.
- At least 2 years of non-internship experience designing or architecting new and existing systems, including design patterns, reliability, and scaling.
- At least 1 year of software development engineer or related occupational experience.
- At least 1 year of experience designing and developing large-scale, multi-tiered, multi-threaded, embedded, or distributed applications, tools, systems, or services using C#, C++, Java, or Perl.
- At least 1 year of Object Oriented Design experience.
- Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.
- Experience programming with at least one software programming language.
- Preferred: 3 years of full software development life cycle experience, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
- Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent.
