Responsibilities
- Own the end-to-end architecture, development, delivery, and operation of modular e-commerce add-ons.
- Design and implement complex backend logic with Laravel, including middleware, queues, events, gates, and policies.
- Design scalable, secure, maintainable, multi-tenant, and distributed systems for high-traffic production environments.
- Develop optimized database schemas and performance strategies involving MySQL, RDS, indexing, and Redis caching.
- Lead frontend integration in a SingleSpa micro-frontend setup using Vue.js 3 and related technologies.
- Manage Docker-based environments, release processes, versioning, rollouts, monitoring, alerting, and incident management.
- Serve as Technical Lead and final reviewer, mentor engineers, conduct code reviews, and enforce architecture and quality standards.
- Promote and evaluate AI-assisted and agentic coding tools, defining production-use best practices, guardrails, and quality standards.
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience developing, scaling, and operating complex full-stack web applications in production environments.
- Expert knowledge of PHP and Laravel, including middleware, queues, events, gates, and policies.
- Strong frontend development experience; Vue.js 3, TypeScript, and modern state management such as Pinia are advantageous.
- Expertise in secure, multi-tenant, distributed-system architecture and strong knowledge of SOLID and DRY principles.
- Advanced database and performance-engineering skills with MySQL/RDS, schema design, indexing strategies, and Redis caching.
- Experience with Docker-based environments, CI/CD pipelines, semantic versioning, AWS infrastructure, production monitoring, and alerting.
- Demonstrated technical leadership, mentoring, code-review, problem-structuring, and business-oriented technical decision-making skills.
- Practical experience with AI-assisted and agentic coding tools such as Claude Code and Cursor, with the ability to evaluate their benefits and limitations.
