Base Salary
$93k - $162k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, engineer, and automate secure, scalable cloud infrastructure in Azure and AWS using Terraform, Ansible, and Jenkins.
- Implement and maintain Infrastructure as Code and CI/CD pipelines with reusable modules, templates, testing, artifact management, and deployment automation.
- Design and operate containerized and serverless platforms using AKS, EKS, Docker, and Azure Functions.
- Develop observability solutions using metrics, logging, and tracing, and improve alerting, diagnostics, and root cause analysis.
- Apply SRE practices including SLIs, SLOs, error budgets, capacity planning, incident response, post-incident reviews, and on-call support.
- Support cloud-native architecture, application modernization, high availability, fault tolerance, and performance optimization.
- Ensure infrastructure and automation comply with security, compliance, governance, and enterprise DevOps standards.
- Mentor engineers through code reviews, design discussions, and knowledge sharing without direct people management.
- Evaluate emerging technologies and implement automation or architectural improvements that reduce operational toil.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field is required; a master’s degree is preferred.
- At least 5 years of experience in DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering, Release Engineering, or related roles is required.
- Strong hands-on software development experience with Python, .NET, or Java.
- Experience with Azure and AWS cloud platforms and their PaaS, IaaS, and SaaS services.
- Proficiency with PowerShell and Bash scripting.
- Experience with source control and automation tools including Git.
- Hands-on Infrastructure as Code experience with Terraform or CloudFormation.
- Experience building and operating CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps, Jenkins, or similar tools.
- Experience building or supporting observability platforms and defining operational best practices.
- Experience troubleshooting and automating diagnostics across Linux and Windows environments.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, operational excellence, and full-lifecycle ownership skills.
