Responsibilities
- Lead the technical vision and architecture for Tekion’s AI Native Platform.
- Architect and build a highly available, multi-provider LLM abstraction gateway.
- Design and lead the MCP ecosystem, including tool schema governance, authentication, trust models, and integrations with multi-agent frameworks.
- Design and implement agentic AI frameworks, including planning, reasoning, tool orchestration, guardrails, safety layers, human-in-the-loop escalation, and agent evaluation.
- Drive platform reliability, observability, and production success for architecture decisions.
- Mentor engineers, establish engineering standards, and promote code quality and engineering excellence.
- Collaborate with product, AI/ML research, and domain engineering teams on the AI platform roadmap.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science or a relevant field.
- 9+ years of relevant software engineering experience.
- Strong Java, object-oriented development, backend, microservices, cloud, and distributed systems experience.
- Experience with MongoDB, MySQL, AWS technologies, ELK stack, Spring Boot, and Kafka.
- Deep expertise in LLM systems, including model selection and evaluation, token economics, and context-window optimization.
- Strong knowledge of MCP, tool-use standards, AI gateways, LLM infrastructure, agentic AI architectures, observability, MLOps, AI safety, governance, and responsible AI patterns.
- Demonstrated technical leadership, ownership, communication, problem-solving, troubleshooting, performance optimization, and mentoring skills.
