Responsibilities
- Own and execute end-to-end system test strategies covering workflows and integrations.
- Develop Python automation test plans defining automation strategies and test cases for new features, solution testing, and system testing.
- Apply AI/ML-based test generation, optimization, anomaly detection, and failure prediction approaches.
- Use GitHub Copilot and GenAI tools for test development, refactoring, documentation, and root-cause analysis.
- Debug complex network problems and define solutions across optical and IOS-XR systems.
- Work on network automation, algorithmic problem solving, and analytics applications based on customer use cases.
- Use scientific, data-driven testing practices and contribute to continuous improvement and transformation.
- Collaborate across global teams, interface directly with customers, and manage stakeholders.
- Apply manageability technologies including OpenConfig, RESTCONF, NETCONF-YANG, and telemetry.
Requirements
- Strong knowledge of software test engineering methodologies and processes.
- Excellent testing skills and knowledge of optical technologies including DWDM, ROADM, OTN, and coherent technologies.
- Experience translating brownfield and greenfield customer deployments into effective test strategies.
- Experience with optical line systems and subsea networks.
- Experience with test planning, test case design, test execution, and test automation.
- Required experience with TCL, Python, automation test tools, and automation methodologies.
- Strong experience with Layer-0 and Layer-1 traffic generators and analyzers such as Viavi, Agilent, Spirent, and IXIA.
- Familiarity with Linux and modern software development and debugging tools, plus solid software design and development skills.
- Strong written, verbal, communication, interpersonal, problem-solving, accountability, and ownership skills.
- Typically requires a BS or MS in electrical engineering or computer science combined with 4–9 years of proven experience.
- Industry certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, CCIE, JCNA, or JCIE are preferred.
