Responsibilities
- Lead the development and execution of automated and performance testing for software products and services.
- Configure, maintain, and administer testing tools and environments.
- Plan testing with Product Management, Project Management, Engineering, Operations, QA staff, technical leads, and subject matter experts.
- Report defects and test results, research root causes, and ensure corrective actions are addressed.
- Research and implement tools, automation, methodologies, and process improvements that enhance testing capability and product quality.
- Investigate performance issues in partnership with architects, developers, network engineers, and system engineers.
- Conduct project reviews and implement quality control procedures for project deliverables.
- Support test planning, execution, defect tracking, metric and status reporting, continuous improvement, and IT audit record retention.
- Evaluate industry trends and emerging developments relevant to quality assurance and testing.
- Work across teams to expand quality assurance, performance testing, and automation testing practices.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of Quality Test Engineering experience.
- BS in Engineering or Computer Science, or equivalent experience.
- Strong understanding of QA methodologies, software development processes, and process improvement.
- Ability to develop and execute complex automated and performance testing.
- Experience administering testing tools and environments.
- Experienced QA testing skills and strong research and root-cause analysis skills.
- Advanced written and verbal communication skills.
- Basic understanding of working within budgets and awareness of industry trends.
