Responsibilities
- Own and evolve the developer platform that powers Flexport engineering.
- Create and support developers with CI/CD pipelines and build tooling.
- Improve the backend and frontend developer experience.
- Steward the GraphQL and gRPC ecosystem for smooth operations.
- Evolve and integrate IAM solutions for security and ease of use.
- Ensure engineers can effectively use container orchestration and observability tools.
- Conduct user research with developers to ground decisions in data.
- Collaborate across teams to implement changes that benefit the engineering organization.
Requirements
- 10+ years of software engineering experience, particularly in developer platforms or internal tooling.
- Deep full-stack instincts across backend services and frontend build pipelines.
- Strong product instincts focused on internal users and measuring impact.
- Expertise in CI/CD systems, container orchestration, and build tooling.
- Ability to thrive in ambiguity and independently identify high-leverage problems.
- Excellent communication skills for stakeholder alignment and documentation.
- A helpful attitude that fosters collaboration and unblocks others.
