Principal Field Engineer (Pharma/Life Science)
Cognite - AI for IndustryResponsibilities
- Act as a technical liaison to key clients, establishing trusted relationships.
- Collaborate with Account Managers and Sales teams to identify client opportunities.
- Educate clients on Cognite Data Fusion® and related offerings.
- Develop client-focused demos, reference architectures, and solution accelerators.
- Represent Cognite in client meetings and technical briefings.
- Translate client feedback into actionable product requirements.
- Ensure client-integrated solutions are technically feasible and scalable.
- Provide technical support on client opportunities and serve as a technical escalation point.
- Organize and manage client workshops and technical meetings.
- Develop and promote best practices and frameworks.
- Mentor other Field Engineers and share technical expertise.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in solution architecture, field engineering, or technical presales/postsales roles.
- Hands-on experience with Python and software development best practices.
- Strong client-facing skills with experience building trusted relationships.
- Expertise in industrial data, OT/IT convergence, and data integration patterns.
- Good understanding of data platforms, APIs, and integration methods.
