Base Salary

$93k - $210k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Own and evolve a bounded platform service or SDK component for multi-tenant use.
  • Perform deep debugging across distributed services and drive compatibility-safe remediation plans.
  • Develop software features, enhancements, APIs, and architecture-aligned systems independently.
  • Implement functional and non-functional testing, quality assurance, error logging, monitoring, observability, resilience, capacity, scalability, and performance optimizations.
  • Implement API versioning, lifecycle, and interoperability strategies.
  • Lead code reviews and team-level improvements to integration frameworks and developer tooling.
  • Investigate customer-reported issues and product maintenance defects, provide technical guidance, and recommend product enhancements.
  • Maintain secure coding practices, development standards, automation, patching, testing, and service availability.
  • Create documentation, samples, adoption guidance, and training processes for team consumers.
  • Independently manage work, timelines, deliverables, and shifting priorities while collaborating across teams.
  • Coach, mentor, and guide others and contribute to continuous improvement and knowledge sharing.

Requirements

  • Experience independently designing and developing moderately complex software, systems, services, and APIs.
  • Working knowledge of software architecture decisions, software development lifecycle practices, coding standards, secure coding, testing, debugging, and performance optimization.
  • Ability to troubleshoot distributed-service, API, integration, compatibility, scalability, and customer maintenance issues.
  • Ability to analyze usage, performance, error budgets, and data from multiple sources to identify and resolve issues.
  • Ability to collaborate across teams, communicate with customers, lead code reviews, and provide technical guidance.
  • Ability to independently manage deliverables, prioritize work, adapt to changes, and recommend process improvements.
  • Ability to mentor teammates and stay current with industry practices and development tools.
