Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, debug, and support software solutions for retail and enterprise platforms.
- Implement user stories, technical tasks, integrations, APIs, and platform enhancements.
- Evaluate requirements, build proofs of concept, and provide technical feedback during discovery activities.
- Apply architectural patterns, engineering standards, and non-functional requirements in collaboration with senior engineers and architects.
- Create technical documentation, API specifications, test artifacts, and deployment guidance.
- Participate in code reviews and improve solution quality and maintainability.
- Troubleshoot software defects, production issues, and operational concerns and implement corrective actions.
- Contribute to automated testing, deployment automation, CI/CD pipelines, and observability practices.
- Support production deployments, post-release validation, and operational readiness activities.
- Use AI-assisted development tools for productivity, code quality, test generation, documentation, and analysis.
- Continuously improve technical skills, development practices, and knowledge of retail platform technologies.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
- At least 3 years of professional software development experience.
- Experience with Java, TypeScript, JavaScript, or similar programming languages.
- Experience building and supporting cloud-native applications, APIs, microservices, or distributed systems.
- Familiarity with Azure, AWS, or similar cloud platforms.
- Experience with AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot, Cursor, or Claude Code.
- Working knowledge of REST APIs, SQL databases, and application integration patterns.
- Experience with source control, CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and DevOps practices.
- Strong problem-solving, troubleshooting, written communication, and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently on assigned deliverables and collaborate effectively with teams.
- Preferred experience with Java/Spring Boot and React or Vue.
- Preferred experience with Docker, Kubernetes, containerized deployments, Agile or Dual-Track Agile delivery environments, event-driven architectures, messaging technologies, retail, POS, payments, commerce platforms, observability, and operational support.
