Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, debug, and support software solutions for retail and enterprise platforms.
- Implement user stories, technical tasks, integrations, APIs, and platform enhancements within delivery teams.
- Evaluate requirements, build proof of concepts, and provide technical feedback during discovery activities.
- Collaborate with architects and senior engineers on architectural patterns, engineering standards, and non-functional requirements.
- Create and maintain technical documentation, API specifications, test artifacts, and deployment guidance.
- Participate in code reviews and improve solution quality and maintainability based on feedback.
- Troubleshoot software defects, production issues, and operational concerns and implement corrective actions.
- Contribute to automated testing, CI/CD pipelines, deployment automation, observability, production deployments, and post-release validation.
- Use AI-assisted development tools to improve productivity, code quality, test generation, documentation, and analysis.
- Collaborate with product, QA, DevOps, and professional services teams while continuously improving technical skills.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
- At least 3 years of professional software development experience.
- Experience with Java, TypeScript, JavaScript, or similar programming languages.
- Experience building and supporting cloud-native applications, APIs, microservices, or distributed systems.
- Familiarity with Azure, AWS, or similar cloud platforms.
- Experience using AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot, Cursor, or Claude Code.
- Working knowledge of SQL databases and modern application integration patterns.
- Experience with source control, CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and DevOps practices.
- Strong problem-solving, troubleshooting, written communication, and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently on assigned deliverables and collaborate effectively with a team.
- Preferred experience with Java/Spring Boot, React or Vue, Docker, Kubernetes, event-driven architectures, messaging technologies, and retail, POS, payments, or commerce platforms.
- Preferred understanding of software quality practices, observability, operational support, Agile or Dual-Track Agile environments, and AI-enabled engineering workflows.
