Base Salary
$160k - $190k/yr
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain web services supporting configuration, monitoring, and data ingestion for in-home measurement devices.
- Build and maintain scalable batch and streaming data pipelines for content recognition and analysis.
- Develop backend tools and libraries with data science and analytics teams to improve data-processing practices and database performance.
- Ensure data quality, security, and delivery timeliness through testing, code review, and operational monitoring.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related quantitative field.
- 8+ years of experience building backend services and distributed data systems.
- Experience with Python and modern Python engineering best practices.
- Experience building batch and streaming data pipelines at scale.
- Experience with AWS infrastructure, DevOps tooling, and CI/CD workflows.
- Strong experience with cloud-hosted, containerized web service architectures and modern deployment patterns.
- Strong knowledge of relational databases, data lake technologies, and performance optimization.
- Experience with big data processing frameworks such as Spark, Databricks, Flink, or similar technologies.
- Ability to collaborate with quantitative and data science teams to optimize computational workflows and data-processing efficiency.
