Responsibilities
- Develop and scale data platform and security-focused troubleshooting applications that provide visibility, analytics, automation, and operational insights.
- Serve as an internal, external, and industry technical expert on complex platform, identity, and software challenges.
- Set technical direction, standards, architecture, and technology strategies for scalable Cisco software solutions.
- Assess emerging technology trends and translate them into long-term product and business impact.
- Partner with engineering, product, and business teams to deliver scalable platform solutions.
- Mentor and influence senior technical leaders while promoting architectural consistency and engineering excellence.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field.
- 12+ years of experience designing and developing large-scale software, platform, or distributed systems.
- Experience building and scaling highly available, secure, and distributed systems in cloud or hybrid environments.
- Experience writing production-grade code in modern programming languages such as Go, Rust, or C++.
- 5+ years of experience applying security, privacy, and data protection principles to platform and identity systems.
- Preferred qualifications include an advanced degree, recognized technical leadership, enterprise or cloud platform strategy experience, cross-organizational architecture experience, and contributions to standards, open source, patents, or publications.
