Responsibilities

Build and support full-stack applications running in GlobalFoundries manufacturing locations.
Analyze, design, implement, maintain, and continuously improve software automation solutions in a highly automated manufacturing environment.
Provide second-level support for applications owned by the team.
Collaborate with manufacturing module engineers in Dresden and Singapore and partners at other international locations.
Learn current software technologies and trends and mentor team members in areas of competency.
Maintain source code and documentation according to the defined configuration management process.

Bachelor’s degree with 5–6 years of experience, master’s degree with 3–4 years of experience, or PhD with 1–2 years of experience.
Programming skills in a high-level language such as Java or C#.
Good knowledge of SQL and relational databases.
Basic knowledge of a scripting language such as TCL, Perl, or Python.
Fluent written and spoken English and the ability to work effectively in international teams.
Analytical thinking, comfort working with complex systems, and enthusiasm for combining software development with factory automation.
Preferred proficiency in Java 8+ or the latest version and hands-on technical skills for delivering modules.
Preferred knowledge of Java/J2EE, SOAP, Spring Boot, Spring JPA, Hibernate/JPA, ReactJS, TypeScript, or Angular.
Preferred awareness of DevOps techniques and tools, source-code platforms such as Bitbucket or GitHub, Linux commands, manufacturing and ERP solutions, and application server configuration.

The position is open to experienced engineers and entry-level candidates, including university or college master’s students/graduates.
