Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and implement processes, tools, and documentation that improve core cloud infrastructure.
- Collaborate with teammates, cross-functional peers, and Product Managers to prioritize and build internal and external features.
- Handle day-to-day operations of the infrastructure in a 24/7/365 service environment.
- Build resilient, highly available cloud infrastructure across GCP, AWS, and Azure.
- Investigate operational issues involving Kubernetes, networking, compute, storage, and logging.
- Develop automated solutions to prevent recurring infrastructure problems.
Requirements
- Expertise with one or more cloud service providers, including AWS, GCP, or Azure.
- Experience building production software in Go or a similar language.
- Production experience using Kubernetes.
- Knowledge of Kubernetes resources including Pods, Deployments, and DaemonSets.
- Knowledge of stateful Kubernetes workloads using StatefulSets, persistent volume claims, and persistent volumes.
- Understanding of the Kubernetes operator pattern and extending the Kubernetes API through custom resources.
- Experience with infrastructure as code, such as Terraform, Crossplane, Config Connector, AWS Controllers for Kubernetes, or Azure Service Operator.
- Experience with virtual machines, Linux, networking, and storage.
