Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain AWS and GCP cloud infrastructure using Terraform modules and reusable platform patterns.
  • Operate and evolve multi-tenant EKS Kubernetes clusters, including node lifecycle, upgrades, security contexts, and networking.
  • Support the migration from managed Kafka on MSK to WarpStream and maintain its operational tooling.
  • Develop platform tooling and Kubernetes reconcilers in Go using the Kubernetes API and controller-runtime.
  • Design and maintain networking and security infrastructure including transit gateways, GCP interconnect, ingress, security groups, IAM policies, and IRSA.
  • Participate in on-call rotations, respond to infrastructure incidents, improve runbooks, and automate recurring operational issues.

Requirements

  • At least 3 years of software engineering or infrastructure engineering experience.
  • Hands-on experience building and operating infrastructure with AWS services such as EC2, EKS, IAM, S3, and VPC.
  • Working knowledge of Kubernetes in production beyond local development environments.
  • Experience with infrastructure-as-code; Terraform is strongly preferred, with Pulumi or CloudFormation acceptable.
  • Proficiency in at least one of Go, Python, or shell scripting, with Go preferred.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines such as GitHub Actions, Argo, or Jenkins, plus on-call and incident response experience.
  • Experience with Kubernetes operators or controllers, streaming infrastructure, networking, regulated environments, or GitOps patterns is beneficial.
