Responsibilities
- Enhance and maintain foundational platform tools and systems.
- Work hands-on with Kubernetes clusters, AWS infrastructure, Terraform, and open-source components.
- Build and maintain backend services, APIs, and controllers that abstract and orchestrate infrastructure.
- Provide a simplified self-service infrastructure experience for other engineers.
- Develop software for infrastructure migrations, high-scale traffic management, and security tooling.
- Manage platform infrastructure including Kubernetes and Envoy across AWS and GCP.
Requirements
- A solid foundation in practical software development, including writing, testing, and deploying robust backend services.
- Enthusiasm for AWS and/or GCP and Kubernetes.
- Experience with automation and Infrastructure as Code such as Terraform.
- Curiosity about distributed systems, including how modern applications fail and scale.
- Interest in building reliable, performant platforms that improve developer experience.
- Comfort working with ambiguity and evolving requirements.
- Direct experience with the listed technologies is not required, and interviews may be completed in any programming language.
