Base Salary

$173k - $255k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Own and deliver quarterly team goals while leading engineers through ambiguous, open-ended problems.
  • Set technical direction, define architecture, and develop long-term technical strategy for full-stack systems.
  • Collaborate with product management, design, analytics, and engineering stakeholders on product decisions, constraints, risks, and trade-offs.
  • Own team operations and availability through monitoring, triage rotations, playbooks, policies, testing, and alerting.
  • Identify and lead solutions to project, process, technology, and business issues.
  • Create and monitor operational metrics, escalate issues when needed, and support on-call efforts.
  • Set and improve code review and design standards, and advocate for quality through writing and technical talks.
  • Mentor engineers, provide feedback and guidance, and help develop talent.
  • Build polished, performant, accessible experiences that improve customer trust, conversion, retention, and growth.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of experience as a software engineer.
  • Experience leading significant mobile initiatives using React Native or native development, including architecture, cross-functional launches, and production reliability.
  • Experience working across React Native and native Swift/Kotlin boundaries, debugging platform-specific issues, and improving mobile tooling and release processes.
  • Experience implementing experimentation, feature flagging, and analytics instrumentation in mobile applications.
  • Experience shipping web applications with declarative UI frameworks such as React or Vue.
  • Proficiency with JavaScript and TypeScript.
  • Experience designing, developing, and launching scalable backend systems using technologies such as Python, Kotlin, AWS, MySQL, and Kubernetes.
  • Ability to define technical plans, make architectural decisions, and write elegant, extensible, high-quality code.
  • Experience making significant changes safely in a large codebase using appropriate tools and practices.
  • Either equivalent practical experience or a bachelor’s degree in a related field.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills and a demonstrated commitment to ownership and continuous growth.
