Responsibilities
- Lead moderately complex software engineering initiatives, projects, and technical deliverables.
- Design, code, test, debug, document, upgrade, and deploy software applications and services.
- Build Java and Spring-based backend services, RESTful APIs, microservices, business-layer components, and event-driven architectures.
- Develop client-side UI components and web applications using React or Angular.
- Design and develop scalable, resilient, high-performance cloud-native solutions using Java, Python, microservices, and Autosys.
- Develop or deploy agentic systems, including autonomous agents, AI-powered assistants, workflow automation agents, and multi-agent frameworks.
- Create test automation using JUnit, TestNG, and Selenium.
- Analyze complex business requirements and write technical specifications for complex modules and applications.
- Provide coding direction, guidance, and escalation support to junior and less experienced team members.
- Collaborate with peers, managers, and cross-functional teams to resolve technical challenges and improve system resiliency.
Requirements
- At least 4 years of software engineering experience or equivalent experience demonstrated through work, training, military experience, or education.
- Hands-on experience with agentic architectures, frameworks, or platforms such as LangChain, LangGraph, OpenAI Agents, or similar.
- Experience with Java, Spring Framework, Spring Boot, EJBs, JDBC, JavaBeans, and object-oriented design and development.
- Experience developing web applications and frontend components with React or Angular.
- Experience developing RESTful web services and Java microservices with Spring Boot and MVC.
- Experience with Oracle or SQL Server databases.
- Strong knowledge of JUnit, TestNG, Selenium, and test automation.
- Experience with OpenShift, PCF, cloud-native development, object storage, CI/CD pipelines, and automation.
- Experience with Autosys or similar orchestration tools.
- Experience designing microservices, event-driven architectures, cross-platform consumption patterns, and highly available scalable systems.
- Experience developing, deploying, or designing agentic systems and AI-powered applications.
- Knowledge of Agile and DevOps practices, application resiliency, security, and continuous integration and delivery.
