Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and deliver creative algorithms and technologies for high-performance, highly reliable systems.
- Own innovations end-to-end from concept and architecture through shipped product.
- Analyze and resolve challenging distributed-systems and system-software problems.
- Collaborate with product management, product development, system validation, support, and customers.
- Make strategic architectural decisions and help evolve system design through architecture forums.
- Contribute to production deployments, high availability, uptime, and enterprise product quality.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of developer-level Linux platform experience.
- Strong programming skills in C, C++, Python, Java, Go, or another programming language, with solid object-oriented programming knowledge.
- Strong foundations in data structures, algorithms, threads, synchronization, and concurrent programming.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for explaining architectures, design proposals, and tradeoffs.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Computer Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a closely related discipline.
- Hands-on storage-domain development experience and experience making strategic architectural decisions are preferred.
