Responsibilities
- Lead a team of engineers developing high-performance, high-volume Java applications.
- Design, develop, implement, document, maintain, and support scalable software solutions.
- Collaborate with technical leads, architects, and product owners to define features and user stories.
- Create and own solution designs, research technical alternatives, and explain designs to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Perform code reviews and provide technical direction, training, and blocker resolution for team members.
- Develop automated API and UI tests, test strategies, frameworks, reports, and CI/CD quality gates.
- Identify complex automation opportunities and refactor automation code as needed.
- Follow quality, security, software development, and project standards while supporting metrics reporting and process improvements.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in information systems, information technology, computer science, or engineering.
- 10–13 years of hands-on experience building scalable, multithreaded software products with Java and the listed enterprise technologies.
- Experience leading one or more Scrum teams and providing technical direction.
- Strong experience with SOAP and RESTful APIs, scalable applications, Java and microservices design patterns, and solution design.
- Knowledge of cloud-native development using Pivotal Cloud Foundry and AWS.
- Experience with CI/CD tools and test automation frameworks and tools including Jenkins, Selenium, Rest-assured, TestNG, and Postman.
- Experience with Agile environments, cross-functional collaboration, retrospectives, elaboration sessions, independent decision-making, and meeting deadlines.
- Strong communication, analytical, innovation, documentation, and problem-solving abilities.
