Responsibilities
- Design, build, and improve scalable, maintainable, and high-performance Java backend systems.
- Develop cloud-native applications using Java, Spring Boot, microservices, RESTful APIs, and event-driven architecture.
- Perform high-level and low-level design, contribute to architecture discussions, and support technical governance.
- Design, optimize, and tune Oracle or relational database schemas and queries.
- Deploy and manage applications using Docker and Kubernetes or OpenShift.
- Implement unit testing, secure coding practices, coding standards, performance benchmarks, and reliable software delivery.
- Collaborate with product owners, designers, architects, engineers, stakeholders, and technology partners.
- Participate in code reviews, knowledge sharing, Agile delivery, risk management, and enterprise compliance activities.
- Lead or guide collaborative assignments and contribute to engineering excellence and continuous improvement.
Requirements
- Strong experience with Java, including JDK 17 or JDK 21, and Spring Boot.
- Experience designing and building scalable microservices and RESTful APIs.
- Hands-on experience with high-level design and low-level design.
- Experience with Oracle or relational databases, including schema design, optimization, and query tuning.
- Experience implementing event-driven architecture using Kafka or other messaging systems.
- Experience deploying and managing applications with Docker and Kubernetes or OpenShift.
- Experience contributing to architecture discussions, technical design, and governance processes.
- Experience working in Agile development environments and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
- Knowledge of coding standards, performance optimization, secure development practices, and enterprise application architecture.
- Experience with Camunda BPM or workflow orchestration tools is valued.
- Exposure to React.js, AWS, distributed systems, or banking and financial services is valued.
