Base Salary
$206k - $286k/yr
Responsibilities
- Contribute to team strategy, roadmap, tooling, processes, and culture.
- Scope, design, implement, and deploy robust solutions while balancing reliability, throughput, latency, resiliency, engineering velocity, and cost.
- Design and implement software solutions that improve infrastructure resiliency, reliability, efficiency, and management at scale.
- Develop, maintain, debug, and scale distributed systems built with open source tools.
- Build infrastructure as a product centered on users' needs.
- Build and operate infrastructure and tools that empower developers.
- Uphold high engineering standards and improve the codebase and engineering processes.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- Five years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in software development.
- Five years of experience developing, maintaining, and debugging distributed systems built with open source tools.
- Five years of experience building infrastructure as a product centered around users' needs and scaling distributed systems.
- Five years of experience breaking down complex systems and identifying optimization opportunities for data-driven cost-performance tradeoffs.
- Five years of experience building and operating infrastructure and developer tools.
- Five years of experience working in a development team using AWS, Azure, OCI, or GCP.
- Five years of programming experience with Ruby, Go, Python, or Java.
