Responsibilities
- Embed with engineering teams to understand their applications, workflows, and infrastructure challenges.
- Translate loosely defined customer requirements into technical designs and practical implementation plans.
- Build, integrate, test, deploy, and operate production software and platform capabilities.
- Develop Go backend services, React and TypeScript applications, REST and gRPC APIs, distributed systems, and infrastructure automation.
- Build AI-assisted capabilities including LLM integrations, agentic workflows, evaluations, and production quality controls.
- Participate in on-call rotations, observability, incident response, root-cause analysis, and operational readiness.
- Identify recurring customer needs and turn them into reusable platform capabilities.
- Drive alignment across teams, influence partner teams, and improve engineering practices and platform reliability.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of professional software engineering experience designing and delivering production software.
- Strong backend development skills in Go or a comparable language such as Rust, C++, or Python, with the ability to become productive in Go.
- Understanding of software architecture, REST and gRPC APIs, distributed applications, and relational data modeling.
- Hands-on experience with relational and distributed SQL databases, including schema design, migrations, query performance, and connection management.
- Strong networking fundamentals covering TCP/IP, subnetting, routing, TLS, DNS record types, load balancing, health checks, session affinity, and global traffic management.
- Experience with AWS, GCP, or AliCloud across compute, storage, networking, load balancing, and identity and access management.
- Working knowledge of Linux, including systemd, processes, filesystems, permissions, and command-line troubleshooting.
- Understanding of service authentication and transport security, including mTLS, PKI, certificate lifecycle, OIDC, and RBAC.
- Experience with source control, automated testing, CI/CD pipelines, and production deployments.
- Experience operating production services, including metrics, logs, traces, incident response, and root-cause analysis.
- Demonstrated technical leadership on multi-team projects and strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Preferred qualifications include a BS in Computer Science or Engineering, or equivalent experience.
- Preferred experience includes React and TypeScript, internal platforms, infrastructure automation, developer tooling, enterprise integrations, Kubernetes, containers, Helm, Kustomize, Terraform, Ansible, distributed systems, multi-region data consistency, hybrid infrastructure, observability tools, network virtualization, progressive delivery, LLM APIs, agentic workflows, AI evaluations, and MCP integrations.
