Base Salary
$135k - $180k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain a shared DevOps and DevSecOps platform for software development, systems engineering, integration, and testing.
- Develop GitLab CI/CD pipelines and automate security testing gates, infrastructure, configurations, and operational workflows.
- Create reusable Terraform infrastructure-as-code configurations across AWS and similar cloud platforms.
- Automate Kubernetes configurations and support cloud networking, DNS, TLS, and ingress/egress routing.
- Maintain and harden base images and develop infrastructure testing procedures, programming, and documentation.
- Perform risk assessments, recommend corrective actions and mitigations, and validate Information Assurance controls in accordance with DoD guidance, CNSSI 1253, and NIST publications.
- Validate, troubleshoot, document, and improve DevSecOps engineering efforts across classified and constrained defense environments.
- Document processes and services for cloud application development teams and collaborate with technical writers on customer-facing documentation.
- Research quality-review issues, develop solutions, support technical assessments, and coordinate delivery with project work teams.
Requirements
- Active U.S. Top Secret/SCI clearance or eligibility with a completed Tier 5 investigation.
- At least 7 years of demonstrated full-lifecycle software development experience for containerized, virtual machine, and cloud-based architectures across Unclassified, Secret, and Top Secret domains.
- At least 4 years of experience applying DevSecOps principles, including configuring SAST, DAST, SCA, and container-scanning tools as CI/CD quality gates in regulated government pipelines.
- At least 3 years of experience engineering, integrating, and troubleshooting interoperable software systems in critical defense platforms and DDIL, afloat, ashore, and PaaS environments.
- Experience with Agile software development methodologies and automation or scripting for infrastructure management.
- Hands-on experience with Jenkins, GitLab, HashiCorp Vault, Argo CD, Red Hat Enterprise Linux, and Amazon EKS is desired.
- Strong understanding of DISA STIGs is desired.
