Responsibilities
- Build, integrate, and maintain foundational systems that help engineers manage changes and ship software across release trains and hardware platforms.
- Own strategy and roadmaps to increase engineering velocity, reduce manual effort, and improve software quality.
- Design, implement, test, and maintain software systems supporting developer workflows, build infrastructure, and integration pipelines.
- Collaborate with engineers and stakeholders across multiple teams and product lines.
- Plan and deliver complex build and integration projects under tight timelines.
- Use AI-assisted tools to write, debug, and ship code effectively.
Requirements
- Understanding of distributed systems, asynchronous behaviors in pipeline design, CI/CD systems, and build infrastructure.
- Ability to write and debug software using scripting languages such as Ruby, Python, zsh, or JavaScript.
- Solid understanding of Git branching, merging, rebasing, and conflict resolution.
- Experience with software planning, design, implementation, integration, testing, and maintenance phases.
- Clear verbal communication and technical documentation skills.
- BS or MS in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience gathering requirements and aligning roadmaps with stakeholders across multiple teams is preferred.
- Experience with complex build and integration projects across product lines is preferred.
- Understanding of low-level Git plumbing commands, hooks, and reflog is preferred.
- Broad experience in software system design and implementation is preferred.
