Responsibilities
- Shape the technical strategy and prioritize work streams for securing AI agents.
- Build the runtime policy decision point and request-time authorization engine for agent requests.
- Design policy authoring, schema validation, and evaluation workflows connecting no-code UI output with API-published policies.
- Validate delegated-agent representation permissions and securely forward acting-user identity to downstream resources.
- Implement comprehensive audit logging for authorization outcomes and decision reasons.
- Drive AI-native development practices, technical-debt reduction, observability, reliability, documentation, and support improvements.
- Partner with Product and Design on customer outcomes and mentor peer engineers.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- At least 8 years of full-stack software engineering experience spanning backend and frontend development.
- Proven experience defining scalable backend architectures, integrating complex APIs, and making architecture decisions with lasting organizational impact.
- Deep expertise building reliable, secure, enterprise-grade software in Java or another type-safe language.
- High proficiency in JavaScript and TypeScript with the ability to ship robust frontends.
- Strong understanding of web authentication, authorization, and sensitive-data security practices.
- Ability to apply, evaluate, and adopt AI tooling across the software development lifecycle and help teams adopt new practices.
- Experience leading engineers through a meaningful change in AI adoption, developer tooling, or engineering culture is preferred.
- Experience with identity, authorization, or IAM protocols such as OAuth, OIDC, or SAML is preferred.
- Experience with agent frameworks, AI-facing APIs, or LLM developer toolchains is preferred.

- Annual base salary range of $160,000–$220,000 CAD for candidates located in Canada, plus equity where applicable and bonus.
