Responsibilities
- Lead the design and architecture of scalable, secure, performant POS terminal solutions across multiple platforms.
- Develop and maintain architecture documentation and diagrams for POS terminal systems.
- Make software architecture decisions involving payment technologies, EMV standards, hardware compatibility, and payment processors or gateways.
- Lead development of POS-related applications, including mobile applications for repair scheduling and maintenance.
- Optimize payment processing performance and security, including EMV protocols, and ensure product stability and reliability.
- Conduct code reviews and enforce software engineering best practices for mobile and embedded systems development.
- Mentor engineers, improve developer productivity, participate in planning, and support technical hiring.
Requirements
- At least 8 years of experience in POS terminal system design, architecture, and development.
- Strong Android Native development expertise using Java or Kotlin, especially for Android-based POS terminal solutions.
- Experience with cross-platform mobile development such as Flutter; familiarity with C and JavaScript POS platforms is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of EMV security protocols, chip-based transactions, encryption, and key management.
- Experience integrating POS hardware such as card readers, PIN pads, printers, and other peripherals.
- Deep understanding of payment systems architecture and integrations with payment processors and gateways.
- Knowledge of software quality assurance principles in financial systems, plus strong problem-solving, communication, leadership, and mentoring abilities.
