Responsibilities
- Prototype home design workflows and turn successful concepts into customer-ready software.
- Lead development of interactive 3D home design workflows connecting the UI, design data, and real-time 3D scene.
- Build AI-supported and agentic product experiences for home design.
- Own application architecture and technical delivery from prototype through production, including frontend, state, service integration, performance, reliability, and testing.
- Partner with the product/UX lead to evaluate assumptions, identify risks, and determine implementation priorities.
- Collaborate with the platform team to establish, improve, document, and reuse application foundations.
- Mentor and guide less experienced engineers through implementation, pairing, and code review.
Requirements
- Track record of architecting, building, and shipping substantial web applications through production.
- Deep hands-on experience with TypeScript, React, and modern web application architecture, including application state, API integration, performance, and maintainability.
- Ability to make independent technical decisions in partnership with product or design leadership and explain tradeoffs.
- Experience balancing immediate product delivery with reusable technical foundations across application and platform teams.
- Experience helping less experienced engineers deliver through implementation, mentoring, and technical guidance.
- Strong instincts for design and product craft, comfort with ambiguity, and enthusiasm for AI-supported or agentic product experiences.
- Hands-on experience with Three.js and browser-based 3D applications, particularly design or CAD tools, is strongly preferred.
