Responsibilities
- Build platform tools and services that enable product engineering teams to deploy and run cloud applications, including data pipelines, analytical applications, and microservices.
- Handle service requests and provide platform infrastructure assistance to other teams.
- Develop and review full-stack JavaScript and Java code.
- Build and support microservices, databases, messaging integrations, releases, and deployments.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of full-stack JavaScript development experience with React, TypeScript, Node.js, and MongoDB.
- At least 5 years of Java/J2EE development experience.
- At least 3 years of hands-on experience building microservices with REST and SOAP/XML.
- At least 5 years of hands-on experience with database technologies, including MongoDB or Cassandra, DML, DDL, and query optimization.
- Experience with Kafka or another messaging framework.
- Knowledge of JavaScript unit testing with Karma, Jasmine, or Jest, including browser testing and debugging.
- Experience with release management and deployment processes.
- Hands-on development and code review experience.
- Excellent communication skills for coordinating with stakeholders across multiple regions.
- A computer science degree or equivalent experience.
- Experience with Elasticsearch or OpenSearch, UX solution proposals, user-centered design principles, accessibility standards, or adtech is beneficial.
