Responsibilities
- Design, develop, execute, and maintain automated UI and API test scripts.
- Create and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts from business requirements and acceptance criteria.
- Build, maintain, and enhance reusable automation frameworks.
- Analyze and resolve automation, environment, and test execution issues.
- Review automation scripts and test results for adherence to standards.
- Use AI-assisted tools to improve requirements analysis, test design, automation development, and QA productivity.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies and collaborate with Product Owners, Business Analysts, developers, QA teams, and stakeholders.
- Document defects, test results, and project status updates.
- Drive improvements in automation practices, testing processes, and software quality.
Requirements
- 3–5 years of experience across the Software Testing Life Cycle.
- Strong hands-on experience with Playwright and Cypress for UI automation.
- Experience with API testing and automation using Playwright API, Karate, Rest Assured, Postman, or equivalent frameworks.
- Experience designing and maintaining scalable, reusable automation frameworks.
- Proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript and required experience with Java; Python is an advantage.
- Expertise with Cucumber, JUnit, or TestNG.
- Experience testing RESTful APIs and backend services.
- Experience with Git-based version control systems such as GitHub, GitLab, or Bitbucket.
- Understanding of STLC, Agile methodologies, and DevOps practices.
- Understanding of AI-assisted software testing; experience with GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, Cursor, Windsurf, or equivalent is preferred.
- Preferred experience with CI/CD tools, build tools, performance testing, mobile automation, cross-browser testing, Docker, Kubernetes, application security testing, automation reporting, component testing, and cloud-based testing platforms.
- Graduation is required.
