Responsibilities
- Design, develop, execute, and maintain automated UI and API test scripts.
- Create comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts from business requirements and acceptance criteria.
- Build, maintain, and enhance scalable and reusable automation frameworks.
- Analyze and resolve automation, environment, and test execution issues.
- Review automation scripts and execution results for adherence to standards and best practices.
- Use AI-assisted tools to improve requirement analysis, test design, automation development, and QA productivity.
- Document defects, test results, and project status updates.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies and collaborate with Product Owners, Business Analysts, Developers, QA teams, and stakeholders.
- Drive continuous improvement in automation practices, testing processes, and software quality.
Requirements
- 3–5 years of experience across the Software Testing Life Cycle.
- Hands-on experience with Playwright and Cypress for UI automation.
- Experience with API testing and automation using Playwright API, Karate, Rest Assured, Postman, or equivalent tools.
- Proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript and required experience with Java; Python is an advantage.
- Experience designing and maintaining reusable automation frameworks.
- Knowledge of Object-Oriented Programming principles and coding best practices.
- Experience with Cucumber, JUnit, or TestNG.
- Experience testing RESTful APIs and backend services.
- Experience with Git-based version control systems such as GitHub, GitLab, or Bitbucket.
- Understanding of software testing, Agile, and DevOps practices.
- Understanding of AI-assisted software testing; experience with GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, Cursor, Windsurf, or equivalent is preferred.
- Preferred experience integrating automation with Jenkins, Azure DevOps, or GitLab CI; using Maven, Gradle, or NPM; performance testing; mobile automation; cross-browser and cross-device testing; Docker and Kubernetes; application security testing; test reporting; component testing; and cloud-based testing platforms.
- Graduation is required.
