Responsibilities
- Design, develop, execute, and maintain automated UI and API test scripts.
- Create test plans, test cases, and test scripts based on business requirements and acceptance criteria.
- Build, maintain, and enhance reusable automation frameworks.
- Collaborate with Product Owners, Business Analysts, developers, and QA teams to translate requirements into test scenarios.
- Analyze and resolve automation, environment, and test execution issues.
- Review automation scripts and test results for adherence to standards and best practices.
- Use AI-assisted tools to improve requirement analysis, test design, automation development, and QA productivity.
- Participate in sprint planning, backlog refinement, daily stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives.
- Document defects, test results, and project status updates.
- Drive continuous improvement in automation practices, testing processes, and software quality.
Requirements
- 3–5 years of experience across the Software Testing Life Cycle.
- Hands-on experience with Playwright and Cypress for UI automation.
- Experience with API testing and automation using Playwright API, Karate, Rest Assured, Postman, or equivalent frameworks.
- Experience designing, developing, and maintaining scalable and reusable automation frameworks.
- Proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript and required experience with Java; Python is an advantage.
- Understanding of Object-Oriented Programming principles and coding best practices.
- Experience with Cucumber, JUnit, or TestNG.
- Experience testing RESTful APIs and backend services.
- Experience with Git-based version control systems such as GitHub, GitLab, or Bitbucket.
- Understanding of AI-assisted software testing and AI tools such as GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, Cursor, or Windsurf.
- Experience with CI/CD tools, build tools, performance testing, mobile automation, cross-browser testing, containerized environments, application security testing, automation reporting, or cloud-based testing platforms is beneficial.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
- Graduation is required.
