Base Salary
$133k - $222k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, maintain, and verify Windows desktop applications using C#, .NET, and WPF.
- Develop and integrate medical-device software components, Windows Services, hardware, embedded systems, and APIs.
- Lead software architecture, advanced prototyping, testing, research, troubleshooting, and performance optimization.
- Translate user, clinical, market, and Voice of Customer inputs into requirements, specifications, and subsystem designs.
- Participate in code reviews, estimate development effort, and support project planning.
- Create and maintain requirements, design, architecture, test, bug, and Design History File documentation.
- Follow and mentor others on R&D procedures, design controls, risk management, regulatory standards, and Quality Management System requirements.
- Collaborate with R&D, Quality, Manufacturing, Regulatory, Clinical, Marketing, and Project Management throughout the product lifecycle.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
- At least 4 years of professional software engineering experience.
- Professional experience designing and developing Windows desktop applications with WPF.
- Strong experience developing software applications with C# and .NET.
- Experience developing Windows Services and integrating software with hardware components, devices, or embedded systems.
- Experience designing, developing, and integrating at least one of REST, SOAP, WCF, or gRPC APIs.
- Preferred: WPF development using MVVM and XAML, object-oriented design principles, design patterns, and C++.
- Preferred: experience with video, audio, communication, or visualization systems; software-controlled signal routing; FPGA technologies; and connected hardware environments.
- Preferred: knowledge of Ethernet and IP networking protocols, including TCP/UDP, Multicast, QoS, VLANs, NDI, and SDVoE, or networking certifications such as CCNA.
- Preferred: experience in regulated software development environments and documented design controls, including IEC 62304, IEC 60601, or FDA 21 CFR Part 820.

- Hybrid or onsite work arrangement; candidates must live within commuting distance of San Jose, California and are expected onsite multiple times per week.
- Travel expectation is 10%.
