Responsibilities
- Design, develop, code, troubleshoot, and maintain secure, stable, and scalable software solutions.
- Write high-quality code in Java, Python, or another modern programming language with limited guidance.
- Consider upstream and downstream systems and technical implications when implementing solutions.
- Apply software development life cycle tools, automation, and AI-assisted development capabilities to improve delivery and productivity.
- Analyze large and diverse datasets to identify problems and support secure, stable application development.
- Validate AI-generated code and other outputs through peer review, automated testing, and secure coding standards.
- Apply responsible AI practices, including data sensitivity awareness and secure handling of inputs and outputs.
Requirements
- Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts and at least 2 years of applied experience.
- Hands-on experience with Python and Java.
- Experience developing, debugging, and maintaining code in a large corporate environment using modern programming languages and database querying languages.
- Experience across the full software development life cycle.
- Exposure to application resiliency, security, and software development automation practices.
- Emerging knowledge of a technical discipline such as cloud, artificial intelligence, machine learning, or mobile development.
- Hands-on experience using enterprise-authorized AI-assisted software development tools and the ability to evaluate and refine their outputs for correctness, performance, and security.
- Understanding of responsible AI use in engineering workflows and ability to guide peers on safe usage.
- Familiarity with modern front-end technologies and cloud technologies is preferred.
